The Miraculous Oil Shedding Santo Niño de la Providencia of Las Piñas

Santo Niño de la Providencia of Las Piñas
In the quiet suburbs of Las Piñas City where commerce thrives in the city ones filled with Pineapples, sometime in 1992, an unexpected miraculous event took place that changed the once quiet city of Las Piñas  from a commercial center and suburbia into a place of pilgrimage for decades.

The image of Santo Niño de la Providencia is reported to shed healing oil for decades up to the present and many reported healings from several incurable diseases that continues to baffle many doctors and experts and later flock his chapel in the Gonzales Residence in A. Pijuan St, BF Resort Homes in Las Piñas City.

The Image

The image of the Santo Niño de Providencia is fashioned in a typical Santo Niño images that are found in every household in the country - a cute smiling face of the Child Jesus standing on a towering base, wearing cuffed long sleeves, donning metal plated boots and wearing a cape and sports a crown on its head and holds a scepter and a globus cruciger.

A Providential purchase

Sometime in 1988, Mrs. Baby Gonzales bought an image of the Santo Niño in a religious shop in Tayuman for her daughter Mrs, Lorna Gozales for family veneration. When her younger brother, Boy Gonzales met a fatal accident coming from his duty as a medical intern, the family placed the image in their sala to be able to pray unceasingly day and night.

The shedding Miraculous Oil

Then then the unexpected event took place on that fateful Monday of It was  Monday, January 27, 1992, at about 10:30 A.M   Lorna saw the whole living room flooded with a very sweet smelling and sticky liquid. out of fear of what she saw, she sat in a sofa  to gain her composure.

She then thought she was hallucinating or getting crazy then when she looked around their living room, she saw the holy image shedding liquid profusely from His tantalizing eyes.  She immediately scoop the liquid flowing down from his cheeks and applied the oil to his brother's body over and over again.  And with the Holy Oil, her brother started to recover gradually.

Days later, nuns and priest of different congregations came to pay homage to the prodigious image. As the news of the miracle spread nationwide through word of mouth and national media, pilgrims begin to flock the Gonzales household and numerous pilgrims s started to pour in everyday.

The developments

A Chapel was later constructed where the image is placed for public veneration up to this day and as witnessed by the author of this blogpost, there were a continues throng of pilgrims who would kneel in the chapel to ask graces to the Child Jesus of Providence. During his visit to the Gonzales Residence, Msgr. Josefino Ramirez gave the image the title "Miraculous Infant Jesus de la Providencia” and blessed the Holy Family Chapel on June 16, 1992.

When the image was inspected by the local church authorities, it is found that there were no holes or any mechanisms that is concealed in the image. The face was constantly restored due to oil that oozes from its eyes that the encarna fades immediately. One of the restorers of the image discloses that even the image was being restored, the oil continued to flow and the material that was used for the image is the same as those found in commercial stalls and venerated in all Catholic homes in the country. As of present, the Bishop of the Diocese of Parañaque is still silent on the miracles of the Santo Niño dela Providencia yet allowed pilgrimages to the Chapel of the Santo Niño.

  8. I can attest and witness how sto. Nino healed my aunt from near to death situation. I am the who cared for her during the time where the hype of delta variant hitted up everyone from our family and my aunt got a severe case of it and at lesser chances of surviving the Covid-19. We have been refused by hospitals due to inavailability of beds and oxygen. We never loose hope, until i remembered the novena given by one of our friends who is reciding in the same village where the miraculous image is located and shared about her and her daughte's experience on the near to death situation. I devoted the life of my aunt praying the whole novena. With all of the aggressive management and treatment where we tried all medical procedures and treatment, her case turned to be deteriorating. Until, i found to devote her life to sto. Nino. Shockingly, I never expected after the 9th day of devotion my aunt turned to get up from the bed of near to death. Thru the providence of the miraculous Sto. Nino de Providencia our pains wont away in few minutes there after.

Luckily, with constant prayers I asked that I can see the image upclose. And here I am, answered prayer after months.

I am thankful for this miracle happened trully, even me as a medical practitioner I never expected that this will happen. IN GOD'S GRACE..
